Maija is the owner of Maija Nordin Dance Studio and loves to teach all types of dance (mostly Ballet) and work with all ages. She has been dancing for 20 years and teaching for 9 years. Her goal is to create a safe environment for people to grow and learn as dancers. "I want students to be confident, happy, and healthy dancers"

She started dancing when she was 12 years old and fell in love with it. "for me, it turned into a world where I could communicate. Words have never been my strong suit so having a language to speak was amazing" She has 3 ballet grades in Cecchetti and has taken many classes with professional ballerinas during her time in college. She is very excited to watch all grow and explore a world they can create.

Jake Conrad has been performing since High School. You might recognize him from 'Oklahoma', where he played Will Parker or from the Maija Nordin Dance Studio Recital 'Wizard of Oz' where he was the Wizard. He learned tap by taking classes with Aliss Barre at Maija's studio and is now ready to take the next step into teaching others. "Before meeting Maija, I didn't consider myself a dancer. She encouraged me to broaden my horizons and learn new skills. I am very happy to have a chance to help others the same way. Taking lessons at her studio made me a better performer by pushing me to learn and grow. I'm very thankful for that."
